An associate’s degree can be completed in 2 years, 

placing you into the workforce and starting your career sooner.

The Accounting program is designed to prepare students with comprehensive knowledge of business fundamentals and accounting skills. All of the programs may be completed online.

Accounting (ACC.AAS)

The associate degree exposes students to all facets of the accounting profession, including intermediate accounting, tax accounting, cost accounting, computerized accounting, and auditing. Graduating students have a variety of employment opportunities in the accounting field. For further advancement, many students elect to continue their education for an advanced degree.

Accounting Certificate (ACCTC)

This one year certificate is designed to serve students who have earned a degree in a different discipline and need accounting courses to prepare for the CPA exam, or those who may need accounting courses for career advancement. This program is best suited for students currently employed in the accounting field. The certificate does not include cooperative education.

Bookkeeping Certificate (BKC)

This one year certificateis designed for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career as a bookkeeper in a small or medium-sized company. Graduates of the program are prepared to sit for the national certification exam administered by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers.



We believe in being clear about the cost of your education. Below is the estimated cost for the Accounting (AAC.AAB) major based on Fall 2026 tuition rates. It covers 6 semesters: 4 full-time, and 2 part-time, with co-op in the 3rd and 5th semesters. Parking fees are not included for online classes. Payments will be spread across your studies based on the classes you take each semester. Note that costs may change depending on factors like course, delivery format, credit hours, semesters, tuition rate, and more.
